The Rara National park

The Rara National park is the smallest park in Nepal. But it contains the biggest lake of Nepal named Rara Lake. The Park is full of diverse vegetation. And is representative of the central Himalayas surrounded by blue pines, oaks, rhododendron, and black juniper. More than 500 different kinds of flowers, 20 species of mammals, and 214 species of birds can be observed in the Park. The rich vegetation of the park supports diverse species of wildlife. Including the endangered red panda, musk deer, Himalayan black bear, leopard, jackal, Himalayan Thar, wild dog, wild boar, common langur, rhesus macaque, and the common otter. 

Rara is at an elevation of 2999m which is also the deepest, biggest, and most beautiful. The lake is surrounded by green hills. Special moments can be enjoyed in this place by boating in the clear waters, taking a hike to nearby hills for a closer view of the mountains and lake, also can be acquainted with the charming local people or just walk around the large lake watching out for wildflowers or rare birds along the way. Journey to Rara Lake is one of the most fascinating treks in the Himalayas.
