Detail Itinerary

Early morning, transfer to the airport for the flight to Paro, this flight offers spectacular views of the awesome peaks, like Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga and including the sacred Bhutan peaks such as Jumolhari and Jichu Drake. Welcome at Paro Airport then transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, you can visit the Paro Dzong, and religious institutions. Visit Kichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the country. From there we move to the Drugyal Dzong built in 1646 to commemorate Bhutan's victory over Tibetan invaders during the 1600s.
After breakfast hike to Tiger's Nest, (Taktsang Monastery) Bhutan's most famous monastery situated at 3180 meters. Guru Rinpoche is said to have flown on the back of a tigress from Singye Dzong in Lhuentse to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. The monastery is perched on the edge of a steep cliff, about 900 meters above Paro Valley. After exploring the monastery, hike down to the Paro. After lunch, drive to Thimphu the capital of Bhutan
After breakfast, visit the King's Memorial Chorten, the radio tower for a great view of Thimphu Valley and Thimphu Dzong, and the zoo. Further, visit a nunnery temple, The National Library, The School of Arts and Crafts. After lunch, drive to Punakha with a stop en route for a tea break at Dochu La (3,100 m), on a clear day one can get spectacular views of the Himalayas. Drive downhill through forests of rhododendron, fir and hemlock. Arrive at Punakha after traversing through rice field and along the bank of Punakha River. In the evening visit to Punakha Dzong.
After breakfast, you will drive back to Paro. On the way, visit Chimi Lhakhang, which is a fertility temple dedicated to Divine Madman or Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Receive blessings from the Lama`s wooden phallus! You will stop in Thimphu for lunch. After lunch, visit National Institute of Traditional Medicine and Majestic Tashichhodzong. Later in the evening, you can drive to Paro.
Early breakfast at the hotel then transfer to Paro airport to return to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu, we will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel, the rest of time you can rest and relax at the hotel or you can explore surrounding area and visit to a tourist hub of Thamel for shopping. In the evening, participate in a farewell dinner.
