Overview

Lumbini Tour is a relaxing tour in the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, Lumbini. The Lumbini is a Historical and famous World Heritage site, situated in the southern part of Nepal. The ancient monasteries, Theravadin monasteries, Mahayana, and Vajrayana monasteries are famous. The sacred Bodhi tree the Ashoka pillar where the supposed place of birth of Buddha is located. From early morning to early evening, pilgrims from various countries perform chanting and meditation at the site.

Gautama Buddha was born as Prince Siddhartha but became the person who began the religion of Buddhism. His father Named was King Suddodana and mother Maya Devi. Siddhartha lived in luxury; his father kept trouble and hard work far from him. A seer predicted that if Siddharth stayed inside his palace his whole life, then he would become a great king. However, if he left the palace, then he would become a great religious leader. The king did not want his son to become a religious leader. He married at the age of 16 with Yashodhara and they had a son, Rahul. Although Gautama had everything he could want, he still was not happy. He wanted to learn the meaning of his existence.

Detail Itinerary

Day |01| Arrived to Kathmandu (1300 meter)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan international airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by of our representatives, who will bring you to your hotel. After you have been settled in at your hotel, our representative will brief you in detail about your travel itinerary. After which, you will be taken on a stroll of the local market. In the evening, we offer you a welcome dinner at a Nepalese restaurant with Nepalese traditional cultural program.

Day |02| Kathmandu City Tour (1300 meter)

Today, an early an hour's mountain flight offering an unparalleled panoramic view of the Himalayas taking you within camera range of the highest peaks in the world. After the mountain flight, you will be taken on an interesting guided Kathmandu city tour; you will visit historical monuments and religious holy places like temples, Stupas and durbar squares. The rest of the time, you will relax at hotel.

Day |03| Kathmandu to Lumbini

We take a short flight to the southern border city of Bhairahawa and transfer to hotel. Reaching Lumbini, we explore some of the major monuments in Lumbini such as: Mayadevi Temple, where Buddha was born, Ashoka's Pillar, and various other temples monasteries founded by the devotees from various countries: Chinese, Japanese and Korean, etc.

Day |04| Lumbini to Tilaurakot and Lumbini

Today we take an excursion to Tilaurakot (27 km) to the west, the ancient capital of Kapilavastu, the kingdom of the Sakya dynasty in which family Lord Buddha was born. The ruin of a palace is found here which clearly shows the gate through which Lord Buddha walked out of his palace renouncing all worldly possessions in the quest for Nirvana. We return to Lumbini garden after a day excursion for an overnight stop.

Day |05| Lumbini to Kathmandu

After breakfast, transfer to airport for the flight to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu, we will pick you up and transfer to the hotel, the rest of time; you can just rest and relax at the hotel or can explore surrounding area and visit to a tourist hub Thamel for shopping. In the evening, “Destination Management Inc.” offer you a dinner as a farewell party together with us.

Day |06| Final Departure (or extend your trip)

The holiday “visit Lumbini package” trip in Nepal ends today. If you have time and interest, you can do some shopping. Our representative will take you to the airport for your onward destination or if you have other trips to extend, you can simply go ahead with your program. We hope you enjoyed the tour with us, and we are sure you will be back for a trip to the Himalayas again.
