Shivapuri hike
Overview
On Capitol Hill: Shivapuri, just north of Kathmandu valley, this is an accessible place to see orchids, rhododendrons, and other flora of the central hills forests and also popular for panoramic mountain views. Some of these include Mt. Manasalu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang. Shivapuri forest is a home for varieties of birds; it can be a prime destination for the bird watcher. You can also explore the beauty of Kathmandu valley, local people, and their culture and traditions.
Shivapuri hill is a natural paradise to spend hiking around Kathmandu. It is a continual walk to the top of Shivapuri hill. Shivapuri hill is also the second-highest hill in Kathmandu valley after Pulchowki hill. During the hiking, you can see the origin of the Bagmati river, Bagdwar. Which is considered a holy river by both Hindus and Buddhists.
